Weigh In

Well, I've had some ups and downs along the way with my weight loss. This week is my "break the cycle" week. I had two small losses the last two weeks, but my pattern has been when I have two losses, my next WI is a gain. So this week I am determined to break that cycle! I'm gonna have 3 losses in a row if it kills me! And my other goal for the week is to break 200. So I need to lose at least 1.7 lbs. to be under 200. That's my goal. I should be able to do it if I stick to counting points. The last couple days I haven't, but with the kids gone, I've been doing what I please. :) So tomorrow it's back on track.

12-6-07 (208.6) (Start)
12-20-07 (207.8) (-.8) (Total loss -.8) (-.4%)
1-3-08 (211.2) (+3.4) (Total gain +2.6)
1-10-08 (205.8) (-5.4) (Total loss -2.8) (-1.3%)
1-17-08 (202.8) (-3) (Total loss -5.8) (-2.8%)
1-24-07 (205) (+2.2) (Total loss -3.6) (-1.7%)
2-7-08 (205) (-) (Total loss -3.6) (-1.7%)
2-21-08 (208.4) (+3.4) (Total loss -.2) (-.1%)
2-28-08 (205) (-3.4) (Total loss -3.6) (-1.7%)
3-6-08 (202.4) (-2.6) (Total loss -6.2) (-2.8%)
3-13-08 (202.8) (+.4) (Total loss -5.8) (-2.8%)
3-20-08 (202) (-.8) (Total loss -6.6) (-3.2%)
3-27-08 (201.6) (-.4) (Total loss -7) (-3.4%)

Kassie's 4th Birthday!!!

Well, my baby girl is finally 4! I can't believe it! She thinks because she is 4 that she can do pretty much whatever she wants. Well, think again!!! Here is her new bike and helmet we got her for her birthday, and the knee and elbow pads and gloves Gabe got her (he even picked them out himself). She is so excited cause it's a "big girl bike". Amazingly enough, she's really good at riding it! She's even better at braking though, which I guess is a good thing. :)

Kids update...

Well, since all I've been posting lately has been about the house, I thought I'd also throw in some pictures of our cute little munchkins. They just got back from their Grammy Sue and Grandpa John's house where they were for 2 nights (giving me the time to finally get something accomplished here! And get some of my sanity back for a little while at least). :) Anyway, last Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt in Creswell, then Sunday we all went to the church breakfast and service, then had a quiet afternoon at home, just the four of us. Kassie was a little tuckered out, as you can tell below.

House pictures!

Well, it's been a while since I've posted house pix, so since we've been working like busy little bees, I thought I'd show you what we've been up to. I got my scrapbook room organized last week, so all that's left is a little bit of painting, hanging stuff up, changing outlets and light switches, then it's time to play! Well, after I'm done painting Gabe's dresser drawers that is. I have 16, so it could take a while. :)

To the right is the closet space, which I never did take a picture of, so you'll just have to get an idea from looking at this picture from before:

We still need to put crown moulding up around the ceiling and then on the benches Chris is going to add some little drawer things for hats/gloves. But it's done for the most part. What d'ya all think? A little better than the pink and blue they had before I think! :)

More demolition!

Well, I couldn't take it any longer. Our small bathroom at the back of the house was driving me nuts. I'm a bit chlosterphobic and it's so dinky, so I don't like to go in there. We plan on remodeling it anyway, and the shower was nasty so we never use it, so I decided to tear it apart tonight. It was a little more than I anticipated, so Chris had to come to my rescue. I tell ya what, the guy who lived here before loved to nail and screw as much as he could to make sure whatever it was didn't go anywhere. And he attached everything to everything else. So there was a lot of wood breaking all around. Nothing bad though, so it's liveable. It's just ugly. :) So we're hoping we won Powerball tonight so we can fix it now, rather than wait till we have money to do it. It's not likely, but it sounds good, right? Well, here's a couple pictures of Chris doing the major demolition (the part that I couldn't do).

Here is the bathroom before we even moved in. It's hard to see, because it's so small so I couldn't get a good picture, but the shower sits right next to the toilet and the other side of the shower is actually attached to the cabinet for the sink. There just isn't much room to move.

Here's Chris in the middle of trying to figure out how the heck that darn wall is supposed to come out of there! He looks happy, but he's really cussing under his breath at me for involving him in this after he got home from work. But hey, I fed him dinner first, so he can't complain. :)

And here's the "finished" project. It is definitely ugly, but I don't get panicky in there anymore. So now I'll actually get in there to clean it!

Blooming flowers!

We have our first flowers in our new house! There is so much stuff, we have no idea what most of it is. I have a feeling though, there are a lot of daffodils. There are bulbs popping up everywhere and a bunch of them are starting to bloom. Here's the first batch from the backyard! I think I'm going to cut some tomorrow and put them in a vase on my table. I haven't had flowers from my own yard on our table in a very long time. It's about time!

Also, does anyone know what kind of flowers these are? They are all over and are so pretty, but we don't know what they are.

Well, that's it for now. I'll have to post some more pix soon! We're working away on the house, slowly but surely. I can't believe how time consuming it all is!
