Weigh In

Well, it's been a few weeks since I've posted, and I'm guessing it's because I've slowed down on the weight loss, so I haven't been too excited to write anything lately. I know why my motivation went down the tubes, but it's not worth talking about. So I'll just say that I'm hoping this week I can get back on track. I'm mentally preparing myself for the coming week. I need to get back into my workout routine as well. I know that was a huge part in my losses every week, so once I get back into that I should do better. I did discover one thing though, a positive thing. I know how to maintain!!! So when the time comes that I do actually hit my goal (21.9 lbs. to go), I shouldn't have a problem maintaining. I am pretty excited that I made it thru Thanksgiving without gaining too! That is huge for me. And now it's almost Christmas and so far I'm on the right track. My goal is to not gain. I could care less if I lose anything or not, I just really want to maintain my loss. I don't want to gain. I know I can do it.

I did go and indulge quite a bit Friday night at our church ladies Christmas party. I thought I might as well enjoy it, but that was my one big Christmas season binge. I felt like I was in a chocolate coma, but it was soooo worth it! So I think I'm good for a while now. I got quite a few compliments there too, so that made me feel really good. Nobody in this town knew me back when I was skinny, so now they're seeing it and it just makes me feel really good to have so many people notice it. It really gives a person a boost emotionally.

I am really looking forward to summer time though, because I really miss my evening walks! I have the treadmill now, but it's just not the same as getting out there really pushing myself up the hills.

Well, for 3 weeks of not posting you'd think I'd have more to say, but there hasn't been too much other than trying my hardest to not gain back weight that I've worked so hard to lose. I am going to try to post every week again, because it seems to be good for my mind set writing this. I feel more motivated already. Maybe that's all it takes for me to stay motivated, just get on here and start typing. I will be weighing in a day early from now on. Thursday is just a better day for me, so I will try to be back every Thursday! So until then, have a great week!
